Difference between Job shops and reputed Companies
Indian body shoppers employ a H1b Persons and many of them are in hourly. No project then no pay. Also because of H1b and GC employer has complete control over the employees about pay and other benefits. No pay in bench is violation of law and both employee and employer are willingly accept that. Because of that employer and employee does not have any risk and employer always make huge profits without exposure of any risk. Employee also does not have any risk of losing GC process. So our body shoppers are attractive destination for GC aspirants.
The companies which follow rules are forced to pay bench or lay off. So both employee and employer are risk of survival. Companies may be under risk of heavy loss when there are too many people are in bench. That means companies which follow rules and regulations are making loss in tough times at the same time Body shops always make money and worst case scenario no loss no gain. I would suggest checking out www.canadaimmigrants.com and other such websites before plunging into Canada. A good idea is also to check out monster.ca for your job situation. I checked that as well as monsterindia. Guess what, there were 50 times more jobs in India than in Canada (at least in IT). After a lot of debate we have decided to stick in the US through this entire GC process. If it fails, we go back to India where we are with our family as well as have good job prospects. If the intent to immigrate to the US continues, we will try to come here again and restart the GC process.
Almost all the people I know who have or want to go to Canada, don't really want to live there more than 3 years. They just want their citizenship and then want to move back to the US. So I don't see the point of living in yet another country and besides I hate the cold. Just another point of view.

The title is pretty self-explanatory. Basically, I want to know whether I can legally continue my GC process in US once I get Canadian PR? What would I have to do? I read the blog from the guy who said he had an address, account in Canada but worked in US. I couldn't tell, though, whether he ended up keeping his Canadian PR...and also - whether he ended up getting the US Green Card in the end?? Appreciate any help!!!

But based on the information availale it seems there would be about 30k visas, which are about 10 times more than what its been now (3,267 VISAS for EB2 India), available for EB2 India. Even though China shares with us for these visas, it would be minimal for china sharing as because china had already a cutoff date of Jan 2006 by Jul 2007. EB2 India has to be current pretty soon as of the increase in visa numbers allotment to almost about 10 times due to the horizontal fallout.
We need your inputs as well, on this calculation of estimated visas for EB2 India.

I think as someone said this guy was randomly throwing numbers out there. How come his analysis does not account for remaining 36K EB1 and EB2 ROW applications. Is he suggesting that all EB1 and EB2 ROW are being used up also. Very hard to believe that for 2008 and 2009 with the way the economy is going. Lot of product companies where most of the ROW 485s would likely come from have stopped applying perm since last summer. There is a huge flaw in this analysis and its not as pessimistic as it seems.
BUT, then again we need legislation to wipe the slate clean and clear these 200K applications, so there is a new build up of visa demand and wait times are tolerable for current applicants and future applicants.
What will happen to the 30k or so unused ROW EB1/EB2 numbers? Typically they trickle down to EB2 India in the last 3 months of FY. I still think this will happen in the next 3 months. BTW, i lost a good old friend right in first week of landing, we worked @ same company in India(birlasoft), were happy to reach Uncle Sam, (he came before me)- asked me to join a meeting, will arrange pickup etc. somehow i missed the ride- LUCKY ME
next day again it started out - he never said what it was about who is involved etc.
i said no i dont think i would like to be involved, i was still calculating $1 = 45 Rupees, MCDONALD # 3 combo is Rs 300 oh lala, too expensive( YEAR 2000)
So my kanjusi paid off, see sometimes being lazy helps

What a shame ! Yesterday only UPA Govt. issued a statement that because of their intensive efforts SL govt. has stopped bombing.
Congress/ Sonia is seeing this as personal which shouldn't have been the case.
Countries like Japan, Norway have condemned these attacks by SL govt/ sending diplomats and our UPA govt. PM says we can't do anything !

I like the idea I dont know if this is already discussed but one thought I would like to share
Because it is for sure that Congress will not Agree to give away GC with out wait time so we should show them some thing more attractive than just initial short term plan of investing on a home and getitng a GC what if some buys a home gets a GC and then sell it off for a 10-15 grand less prise I am ok to loose 15 Grand if I can get to apply 485 overnight.
We make it attractive and more meaning full for economy and to congreess by saying we will buy a home make payments for 3 to 5 years without delinquency to apply for 485.
Just a thought.
