just becoz u'r kid is not good in spellings.... it doesn't make it mandatory for some folks to be jealous in demeaning way...... maybe you feel bad that a 10 year old has better english vocabulary than you at 40..... whatever it is.... u'r not always in competition with u'r surroundings........ grow up and appreciate the effort & dedication that breaks human limits..... even if it is a 10 or 12 yr old.....

Most people has very misconception about "parole". It is not a free/flexible travel document like visa. As a AOS applicant, one should not leave US till it is approved/denied. One MUST present in US during AOS. The parole is only for any emergency purpose; which is similar to prisioners. As USCIS is flexible, in approving the AP, the people don't realize the travel limitation of AP. They are travelling on AP for vatation/fun etc.. As per law, the AP is not intended for it. The CBP officer was right in asking the legitimacy of the travel. The AP document clearly says it is based on "humanitation" admission to retrun after an emergency travel.

I heard that the rules were different before but as of this year, at least one of the parent of Indian origin need to be an US citizen to apply for OCI. Otherwise, the only option is PIO card.

Dates for Eb2 india will touch early 2005. And dates will not move back from that point for rest of year. Of course it will move forward again in Aug 2009 bulletin.
No hopes for Eb3 india .. It will move only for days or months ( 2-3 ) .

I am shocked too. 2 members who I called on phone were abusive. They started blaming Aman Kapoor saying that he is rubbing his idealogies over already stressed immigrants - this was ridiculous and I am so sad that people have such thoughts.
If people are scared or want to live in Shadows why abuse IV who are truly committed for a cause???? These are the same people writing rubbish on those threads that ran 200 pages when they were waiting for USCIS announcement.

Let people say what they want to say. Every big effort will have people who will have difference of opinion. The work needs to go on and only then it will benefit the community. If we stop this work because someone is upset or feels that GC is not a big deal for them, then it will not help anyone, but hurt this cause. If someone has concerns then they should contact us or come to DC for the rally and meet us. We will talk to you and answer questions you may have.

Come on folks participate in this poll and drop in for the meet. If I can make it to the meet by commuting for almost 2 hrs (one way) what is stopping folks who are working few subways stops away from penn st or GCT :confused:

We have only raised $30,000 in the last 50 days; even more alarming, fund raising has gone down drastically in the last 2 weeks. IV has already demonstrated a great deal of leadership and persistence to work on retrogression relief and labor backlog elimination. Bill rate? 70/30 basis?? Contract??? I would like the OP to report his employer to DoL. DoL and USCIS will kick both the OP and the employer. It is easy to get carried away saying that the employer is blood sucker etc. But very clearly, you should know that there can't be these kinds of contracts on H1. The employer knows that people who go to them are on thin ice, and so does the employee (employer is there to do business -- he is not running charity).
Maybe you guys want OP to go to DoL so that both the employer and OP get kicked out of this country (that is good for all of us) due to obvious immigration fraud.
To top it, OP goes on an offensive when people point of the bitter truth to him. This site should not promote illegal behavior, anybody seeking advise on these topics should be severely castigated, because they broke the law too (and they know it, just dont want to admit it). Or maybe we should encourage these people to report to DoL so that all of them can be punished for misusing the laws.
While I did not suggest him to go to DOL. Let me tell you that working on hourly wages is legal on H1. The best solution is to find the job quietly. How do you know how much is his employer making and what he has got? There could be very significant difference.

We are here because of our good parents. Forgetting them is most disrespect we do in life.
If we don't care our parents, when we become older(parents) how will our kids will care us?.
Research are proving...if we live together as family like in olden days...many health issues will disappear...everybody will be happy, no stress.
We need to go back to older family system. Now we are proving...green is better. food is medicine. So why not staying together with parents is not good?. This lead us to have a strong long lasting life.

Hello Guys,
I need your advice here. Six month ago i joined one of the many blood suckers -Desi cosulting company in new jersey. As you all know, they ask me to sign their contract in which its mention that if i leave their company before 1 year then i need to pay them 15k. Thy also charge me 3k for my H1-B which i am still paying everymonth from my paycheck and we have 70/30. In just six months i am so much fed up with them. These people are so rude...always show their arrogance over phone. I have no libarity to find job by myself. They always looking for higher pay rate sp that their big money tummy get filled up.and i also feel that they didnt told me the right pay rate for the project i am working on right now.
I really want to leave them, Even before 12 months. Is there any importance of that contract letter i signed with them?. Can they Sue me? What are my options? Please suggest me.....i am in stress.

How do you think the passage of the DREAM ACT could impact our situation ? If they pass this, they would allay a sizeable portion of illegal immigrants to get amnesty through their children (few millions). I am just wondering whether the illegal alien supporters would lose steam to support CIR after this ? Ironically, they would get a sizeable amnesty, overhelm USCIS with millions of applicants and probably make the passage of a CIR bill more distant. I can't think of something less advantageous to us than this. I hope I am totally wrong.
What do you guys think ?

Bush has been espousing all along the cause for comprehensive reform in this area. Most people recognize that there are immigration problems and governmental delays that exist. Most also believe that the system needs to be changed for the better. But just how this should be accomplished is not so easily agreed upon, and so it is a hot-button issue. Many of the hardliners, who took a strong anti-immigration position, lost the recent elections. But there are some who took this stance and won. It also is widely believed that many of the newly elected Democrats expressed anti-immigrant sentiments in their campaigns. Achieving any strong pro-immigration measures may prove to be more daunting than originally was anticipated; certainly more than many hoped it would be. Needless to say, we can expect 2007 to mark the beginning of a time for change and flux in the arena of U.S. immigration law. There is a possibility the DREAM Act could be passed, allowing the children of undocumented immigrants (who complete their high school educations in the United States) to obtain conditional "green card" status if they enroll in college or join the U.S. armed services. Both the Democratic and Republican parties seem inclined to help children. There are individuals, however, who are not willing to give any benefits to children of undocumented immigrants. Whatever the outcome, one thing is for sure – we can and should expect some debate on the matter of immigration law and policy in the coming year. Your input, therefore, is critical to the process. Whether your interest is as an employer or an employee or some other capacity, it is important to make your voice heard in Congress by eMailing, writing, or calling your U.S. senator, congressperson, or their immigration aides. Hi I am applying advance parole for the first time, I am a july 2007 485 filer but never really cared to apply AP. Now I am planning to go to India in december what are my chances of getting my AP approved before that. Below are my case details:
