It appears that you are cracking a joke, but I cannot stop from replying to your post. Why are you asking God to save IV? For the things we cannot do or for the things we dcon't understand, why do we always have to bring in 'God' in the picture? Can't we even crack a joke without brining in God?
I am just trying to prevent world war III on these forums. Thats why my request for not referring "God'. We will all be much more happier funnier and peaceful if we try not to bring in 'God' in the mix.

Don't go for gun even after you get green card. You can think about it after your citizenship. Green is just another type of visa which can be taken away. You right are fully protected only after you become a citizen. Even there also there is a catch in case of Naturalized of the govt wants to go after you you cant dig you history and find a violation and based on that void the CG you got and the citizenship.

A recent post asking about how many people have EB2-India PDs of 2003 or earlier had no responses, so I am curious about the potential spread of waiting people (atleast in the sample set of whoever responds to this poll).

USCIS has specified that they would have processed all the records into a single database by 29th October.
Does this not mean that there could be a forward movement in the Nov bullietin ?
Based on this (although not sure where USCIS posted this date), the DOS wouldn't be able to use that data till the end of October (at the earliest) or early November (likely). Meaning that the December bulletin (issued ~mid-Nov) might be the one to watch for any movement (forward or backward).

I hope you are wrong about this. I do not see anything on the Approved AP that it should has been used for "humanitarian" purpose. It just mentions that the intention of AP is to allow the AOS applicant to return after temporary travel outside US. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Most people has very misconception about "parole". It is not a free/flexible travel document like visa. As a AOS applicant, one should not leave US till it is approved/denied. One MUST present in US during AOS. The parole is only for any emergency purpose; which is similar to prisioners. You have to remember that Schedule A is a one time 50K cap. DOS mentioned that the category will be eliminated from VB soon. They expect to hit the 50K cap by the end of this month and thats why they will not accept any more new applications from then. So who ever were able to sneak in under that category, will get their GC. There will not be a Schedule A category unless congress approves again.

I am into Datawarehousing and BI. Worked in multiple technology such as Oracle BI, Cognos, Informatica. It is frustrating to see my mid-size American Consulting Company charging the client a $180 per hour while I get $85K per annum. I cannot even switch to my client since I have signed a non-compete agreement..... I think direct marketing is the best way to augment your rates....
Well, I like you because you are just a straight shooter. If you are such a straight shooter then let me do some straight talk, so just catch this.
Your American mid-size company or Desi small size or super size company will get $180/hr but you will not get even $50/hr from the same client even when you go direct. So no matter how "highly-skilled" you think you are, your non-compete argument is not good enough for you not to be able directly market yourself, because there are gazillion other companies using BI, Cognos, BO, Informatica, Datastage and every similar crap. You can impress a few people by naming some technologies that maybe hot but they don't mean a &hit if you market them yourself. Here is why. A lot of people blame the lack of GC as a reason to be exploited. That is part of the problem. The other part of the problem is that most hiring managers in large companies get commission from these small, mid-size or large American, Desi or European consulting companies. That's why in most cases they always hire through one of these companies. They will not hire directly because the manager thinks you to be a stingy desi, and if he hires you directly the hiring manager will not see a dime, so why will he hire you directly? This is a big cycle of corruption and everybody is part of it including lawmakers who get contributions from lobbyist/representatives of these small, mid and large size companies. You think lawmakers don't know what is going on? You think client doesn't know that you make 85K when the middle company get $180/hr? You think the big-bosses at the company/client doesn't know that the hiring managers are getting favors from middle companies? You think lawmakers doesn't know that immigrant worker waiting for long delayed GC is bonded to an employer that buys employee retention insurance policy for the employer? They all know it. i would really discourage ppl who are not insiders of nebraska uscis or whatever to scare ppl from filing eb2 or converting to eb2 from eb3. how do you know what nebraska is doing?
did not mean to discourage, just be prepared because after the 140 is rejected, you have to start all over again and you lose time in the process. BTW, ask any lawyer, and you will hear the same about Nebraska.
also if you have an MS and are eb-3, by all means transfer to EB-2 with a high rate of success --- again accding to my lawyer.

Even my papers were filed on 2nd july before revision of VB. My questions:
Since VB is revised, my application would be rejected and sent back to Attorney's office. But when? How much time does it take USICS to send these application back?
What if it goes beyond October bulletin? If by chance (which I doubt), my dates become current then how would I be able to file my papers again, since medical reports are still with USICS, they had not returned it yet?
Any ideas?

This favours temporary workers on H1, L1 etc. An H1/L1 spouse can move to the US easily, but not that of a GC holder. If you want to bring out this "discrimination", that would mean to discontinue H4 visas, as seeminlgly it is a discrimination against a GC holder. Is that you are looking for?
EB3 discrimination is quite blatant. Folks with a date of March 2004 should be automatically considered EB2 based on five year experience. This is not just for EB3-I or EB2-I but for all chargeabilities.

I suppose it depends on your employers LOA policy, but in most cases you are not allowed to work for another employer when you have taken a leave of absence. And if it's not illegal it would certainly be unethical.
y would it be unethical ? If I take LOA I will let my employer know that I am working in another town for one year (due to personal reasons) and will be back after a year. There is a provision in our company which allows us to go on LOA. Also y should it be illegal?

VB = W + A + H + O <--- 2008 Dem vote bank.
(W: Whites, A: African American, H: Hispanics, O: Others. )
VB1 = (W - ΔW1) + (A) + (H + ΔH1) + (O) <-- pro-illegal policies
So Δ(vb1-vb) = ΔH1 - ΔW1 (it may give them some additional votes.)

and Δ(vb2-vb) = - ΔH2 - ΔW2 (significant loss of white and Hispanic votes )
Based on this - Dems can't afford to be seen as Pro-legal.

I have seen it happening a lot of times. You would not believe, I have seen management floating dummy projects, just to burn left over money so that they can claim the same amount next year. If they do not burn the cash, it would be hard for management to secure the same amount of budget very next year. You know, Sanju is so true! I have even seen management "encouraging" consultants to do over time. That way, consulting companies get more cash and hiring managers get paid "vacation(s)" somewhere near South Africa or Peru or Rio! Sanju - Well said, felt like something that I have seen at my client's location.

The people who wants to be a part of American Society should first definately be a very open minded towards all cultures and social trends.
Other thing to be Indian or representing Indian traditions is not a crime but certainly every time barking against anything Indian may certainly be a crime as it is a clear indication of closed door or prejudicial mind towards one particular country and culture. Americans do not mind if one shows that he is Indian now and want to become in American future. Although they prefer that AND that is why they label Jindal as Indian-American although he born in USA. If there are majority Indians on IV board, it is not a crime but it is obvious. Some of my chienese friends on IV board may start thread for wishing chienese festival, I bet most Indians on this board will welcome and same goes with Muslim friends on IV board. Starting and wishing EID MUBARAK thread (By the way that is also a Indian tradition..And I am proud of that too) is not a crime and by now if nobody started it does not mean other people may not welcome it. If you are a Muslim, start the thread for EID Mubarak, I will be the first to welcome that step. You want to be American,, right? Then first start learning open mind and start respecting the culture of majority IV memebers first. If you would not start that now how will you settle yourself in cultural pot of the world?
