Due to numerous concerns and questions regarding the FBI's name check program, which is conducted on applications for immigration benefits such as permanent residency and naturalization, the FBI will be hosting a briefing for immigration caseworkers or a representative from your office on March 14, 2006. The briefing is intended to advise staff of the FBI name check process and answer related questions. If you are experiencing difficulties relating to this matter, specifically the growing backlog, the extensive wait time on immigration applications due to the name check, and receiving updates from the FBI when inquiring on the status of a name check, your attendance is encouraged.
There will also be representatives from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services as many of the issues are interrelated.

I need URGENT HELP!!
I have filed my I140 in jan 2008, I have PD of NOV 2007. I have bachelor's degree (4 years) + 7 years on same field exp.
My I140 got denial 10 days back with reason that "LC specifies a bachelor's degree + 3 years in an alternative occupation is an acceptable combination of education and experiance for the position offered. Therefore, the JOB offer portion of LC does NOT demonstrate that the job requires a professional holding an advanced degree or equivalent."
So basically in my PERM my lawyer had made mistake and it did not reflect EB2. BUT I 140 which we had filled was for EB2(which is true for my qualification + exp).
Can anyone recommmed,
1)what actions can be taken to reserve my PD of NOV 2007.
2) Are changes in PERM allowed after nearly a year to reflect JOB requirement as EB2.
3) What should be the best solution to my problem...

Just got 3 transfer notices from CSC saying applcations transfered to NSC. Applcations reached July23rd at NSC. 140 approved from TSC.
Anybody in similar situation....

Many of the other visa categories (e.g. F-1 student, B-1/B-2 visitor, and even E-2 treaty investor) allow only "non-immigrant intent." Having applied for a green card or abandoned one's residence abroad can be grounds for denial of one of these visas.

Hi all,
I am getting a new job offer and i applied my GC this July just like most of us here. Is it possible to accept the offer and transfer the H1B visa, then try and negotiate to start later as soon as 180 days are completed?
What happens if i transfer my H1 now ... less than 180 days..and do not start with the new company, will my 485 still be processed? Lets say the H1 is transferred, but i plan not to use that H1 and stick to the same company where my H1 is, will that still be ok?
I am confused, its a good offer, and i dont know what to do. pls help..

I just checked mine, my wife name was mentioned but my son wasnt, and we applied his 485 without any problems, so i think you should not have any problems as long as you file her 485 with marriage certificate before your 485 is approved.

Why not pick out one or two of your favorites (or perhaps instead, images that are technically fine but that you don't like and aren't sure why) and post them here? I'm sorry, but I certainly won't be taking the time to wade through a gallery of hundreds of images that look almost exactly the same, let alone writing critiques for each one (which is what I assume you were asking for, having posted your site in this particular forum).
