I followed up on your GC status from Mr. Gonzales. He assured me that your GC has been sent via Speed Post: it should arrive within the next 4-6 business days. If it doesn't, please don't hesitate to call the toll free #: 1-800-NO-GC-4-ANA
Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
Yes we did the rally we were great with all those signs, and appearing in the Indy TV but...
Question remains open:
1. When are they going to increase the GC quota?
2. When congress id going to do something?
I've the feeling that that's it we made our point but we are still with no GC, waiting receipts..............

There is a very good chance that something will happen soon if we rush. if you are smart enough to think that filing on july 1st will guarantee your acceptance, then you are wrong buddy. As per the other threads and discussions from lawers , immigration officers, and info pass applicants that we have seen so far, uscis can change and will probably change the rules of accepting the application if the demand and rush continues. Already we are seeeing 45 days backlog of receipt.
besides lawyers just have to instruct fedex to pickup and deliver it on july 30th, how difficult can it be ?? except they should have little more room to pile up the applications until july 30th :)

FYI, I got my RFE today too and it is for the same exact thing as my wife's, which I shared yesterday below.
I got LUD 2/17 and 2/18, same for my wife, 2/17 was RFE message, got my wife's RFE in mail today it was for a serological HIV test which was supposedly required but was not done.
Have yet to receive my RFE yet, hopefully tomorrow.

I don't know why some people here are taking this work based immigration here as an all out war. As it is, working and staying in the US or any other country for that matter by foreigners is a priviledge, not a right. No one forced us to come here, we came here on our own free will.
Regarding the description of discrimination of job based on country, that's rather ridiculous. There is no discrimination when one has the right to work and live in the country, that doesn't mean that anyone from any country can just come here and work with or without authorization and say it's discrimination. How about the many Indian companies who hire only Indians? Aren't they practising discrimination and fraud? They don't even bother to try to find qualified people in the country, rather they just issue H1Bs right way to Indian nationals only by just declaring a bogus "can't find qualified people in the country"
If we want good things to happen to us, we should be fair and not misuse and violate the laws of the country. We all have a choice, we can either stay here and be honest and follow the laws and rules of the country, or if we don't like the way things are here we can just go back home.
Sorry to be so honest, but I am tired of every other person cribbing about being victims. Looks like everyone wants to be a victim of something, it's time we take personal responsibility. If we don't like it here in the US, we have the choice to go back home. No one is forcing us to stay here.

Seriously I agree with you 90%. We should follow the rules and there are definitely companies and persons abusing the system. And these type of persons sometimes themselves were once immigrants waiting for green cards.
The 10% that I do not agree with is associated with the reality of working in a country for so long (6 or 7 years) but still not getting the green cards.
You are right that nobody force you to come here. But you decison to come here is based on certain assumptions (such as getting a green card within a reasonable timeframe and in an orderly way). But because of the chaos of the whole green card thing right now, you may not be able to get your green cards within a reasonable timeframe that you had planned, not because you screwed up (say changing the employer or making a huge mistake in your work). Rather it was either your employer or those government agencies screwed you up. I think it is really the chaotic situation, where honest, hard-working people who patienly wait in line are not getting what they deserve, that make people mad.
Everyone probably can think of many examples of such "unfairness". Truth is that the situation has come to a boiling point that people can hardly stand any more, esp. when the July VB fiasco happened.
To go one step further on your point, the whole world should have a better understanding and expectation of employment-based immigration to America. When the fact is out, it is really up to the indivdual to make an informed decision without complainting.

IV is not a help group. If some one want to join a help group then go join a "Depressed people Organization". This is a make happen group, where we all fight for what is right. But unfortunately, we are just as strong as number of people actively supporting.
He did everything right and followed the process but now for a VERY stupid reason, he has to wait for 6+ years now. So, the simple question I ask now is what justice it is by having such a complicated Green Card process full of so much uncertainity and unfairness.
Thus, this guy of course should do all what you stated but must do much more, which is stand up for himself.
How can you be so mean specially at a time when he is under tremendous pressure. IV should try to comfort him and suggest him some alternatives. Contact your attorney ASAP and ask him to try to have a good write up and send the application again, who knows USCIS might accept your application (worst case ur app will come back again), but make it fast dont delay anymore.

I think EADs are sent to the applicant and AP to the attorney...had the same in my case...plus seen lots of folks here say the same thing...
Arent you concerned that if its approved on Oct 1, and you didnt get it, then where is it? Did you ask them as to why you havent gotten it in mail even though it has been approved a month ago? Also, did you check with your lawyer if he got anything?

I don't want to commit the deadly sin of predicting but there is hope that EB3 India might move albeit slowly :p

So much for so called "highly skilled". Young guys out there, in their 20s....think twice about making America your permanent home. Right now, it is very discouraging.
