I will be happy with the following requirement (that is lower then the carpet).

I use the rectangle marquee tool. I guess it all depends on personal preference. If you use the rectangle shape tool you will have to right click on the layer and hit "Rasterize Layer" to be able to edit the object.
If you use the marquee tool you just have to fill it with paint and everything is set.
Not to mention, if you use the shape tool, it automatically creates the shape on a new layer, but if you use the marquee tool, your fill color will end up on the layer you currently have selected.

I have applied 485 (both for me and wife on Aug 13th 2007) without submitting the medicals...still waiting for 485 receipts...

WHILE MY 485 WAS PENDING I GOT MARRIED AND AS MY PD WAS IN DATE
WE FILLED MY WIFE'S 485 IN 07 SHE GOT HER FP DONE ETC..
THERE IS NO CHANGE IN MY WIFE CASE STATUS SO WE CALLED TO FIND OUT BUT THEY HAD NO REPLY FOR US
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY WIFE'S CASE TO GET APPROVED?

well the status quo isn't that bad, is it? Gradually, retrogression will reduce. Now that there is no labor sub, there will be roughly a FIFO system. Plus, no increase in H1B should help the future --- as far as retorgression is concerned. another big plus is that current H1B system is intact. This bill would have driven thousands out of H1B status.

I insist that the name of the person who used profane language on IV website be revealed. It is a serious and urgent issue. Such people must be exposed for the public good.
I fully think that if IV is serious for the dignity of its members and wants this not to happen again, then the person should be revealed and banned. I know this has happened in the past also but not taking this kind of action has given courage to such kind of people to attempt it again.

How (when) do you decide that you will take EAD or stay on H1B? Can you change your mind or it is a one time decision?
Do you have to mantain status (pay checks) on EAD? I understand you need to mantain status on H1B?

My PERM application filed on 10th March 2008 in Chicago, got certified this Monday(05.19.2008). So you should be very close to your approval...may be next week!

Mine is Opposite. EAD issued for 2 years even though my PD is current (based on interfile). Don't know whether the interfile is successful or not.

I had H1B Visa validityfrom X company from 06/2004 - 12/2007.Applied for extension in June 2007. I had
query on it and i got status update in Feb 2008,stating request for evidence(RFE) documents.
X company send the documents but got denial on May 2 , 2008. I had 2 options at this point of time
first one was make an appeal with right documents. second one was to leave the country in 30
days which i has NOT choosen obviously.
In the mean time, i have applied for H1-B Transfer with new company with premium processing. Also made appeal with old company (X) , I'm waiting for the decision of appeal. but now, i got
APPROVAL on my H1-B Transfer with new company.
I-94 that i have on my passport is with Old company(X) .
Question is:
I need to revalidate my visa that was expired in December 2007. I received my H1B extention last week
when i met Immigration officer close to where i live. she said u r good to travel with new I#94 number (which is same as old one). but without visa how would it be possible.
Do i really need stamping to go out of US to visit my native country?
Pls advise. Any answers would be appreciated

When you applied that H1, what did you specify as your old employer? company X or the company whose H1 was denied and is now under appeal? pappu, the only way the labor can be transferred to new company is if the 485 has been filed for more than 180 days.
in this case, since he is unable to file 485 due to retrogression, the labor is not transferable. what may be transferable is the priority date.

I am changing my employer with pending I-140 and I-485 both > 180 days.
RD: 07/23
ND: 09/13
EB2/TSC
PD:12/04
I might recieve an RFE as I did not submit experience letters from my previous employers. I have a masters degree from US.
Just in case I get an RFE on I-140 and old lawyers/old company chose not to respond what are my options? I have letters with me now and can myself respond to RFE if I know what it is about.
if RFE goes unresponded is MTR the only option left??
