are the receipts good enough for international travel or we have to wait for the AP document and then only travel

You should be good if the University (UNVA?) is currently unaccredited and has a future chance of accreditation. USCIS might be more lenient for a SEVIS registered school and approved to operate in the state by the respective state education board. Consult an attorney for legal advise.

1. You can definitely change the employer and invoke AC21. No issues there..
2. You can change AOS to consular, but not after you've invoked AC21.
Actually there's probably a way to do that too , but maybe a good (and probably expensive) lawyer needs to be consulted.

I just received an RFE for my I140 which says:

The ETA Form 9089 you provided indicates a requirement for a Master's or Bachelor's degre in a certain field of study.
Submit evidence that the alien obtained the required Masters or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, January 24, 2007. Evidence of education must be in the form of an official record showing the dates of attendance, area of concentration of study, and date of degree award, if any.
The job offered is for a software enigineer.
You have submitted a copy of a Masters Degree of Technology in Polymer Science and Technology and of the Bachelor's degree is in the discipline of Chemical Engineering with Speciality in Polymer Technology. If you have not been granted a Masters or Bachelors in the required field, provide proof that your degree(s) has the same elements as a Masters or Bachelors in the required field(s).

I got EAD on February 2008 with my primary GC employer. My PD is just 4 months away and I got a job offer in a big company which I cannot afford to loose.
The the job duties in my new job remain the same but I am worried to change job during this time when PDs are jumping very fast. The max I can delay the joining my new employer cannot be more than a 1 month. Please suggest the best approach...
The best approach is to go ahead and change the job. What are you worried about? File AC 21 via new company's lawyer.

If you are unmarried, then you GC parents can file an 1-130 petition for you right now. Once tthebecome a citizen, you can change the category F-1, and retain the priority date.

That's the most surprising part:-).
Probably they need to validate my H4(my current status in US) based on his
H1 validity.
But thank God,my woes r over now,as I got my approval today.
But the applying for SSN woes r going to begin soon.

I've read the first two chapters of the book. The first chapter provides an excellent insight into the history of Immigration. I recently did apply for EAD and the documents required are as below
1. Personal check or Money order for 380$. I prefer sending personal check so that i can know if my check was cashed.
2. I did paper filing and not e-Filing. Some say efile is better some say paper filing is better , i felt paper filing is easy and better , as we can track our documents sent.
3. Docs req are
1. Filled EAD Application form
2. your 485 receipt notice copy
3. Current Addresss proof. electricity bill, water bill etc.
3.Copy of the biographic page of passport for each applicant
4. i-94 Copy
5. 2 Photographs
6. SSN copy ( i put it as my attorney suggested but its not mandatory)
7. copy of driver licence
With e-file too, they instantly cash your payment via credit card or debit card. So, you can keep track of it.

Yes, that's so true. But ensure, the duck is on a leash. otherwise it may never get back and make you wait at the shore forever....( Case in point, hard earned/saved money in stock market and unaffordable home.....waiting for ever for the recovery)
