it's advertising. they use what looks best. one tv advert [where i am] showed someone doing their banking via the internet on an imac. the bank concerned doesn't support macs. a large pc seller has a an advert about leasing instead of buying, the computer used in the advert is a pismo, the apple logo is PSed out

I am very surprised that your parents policy does not cover yours- if you are family and living there it should, but again every policy is different. So you might see if it is cheaper to just add your stuff to their policy if their company allows it.

Hey y'all. This is probably wishful thinking, but how would you go about storing and managing a 110,000 song (650GB) iTunes library on a wireless network drive?
The setup wasn't hard, but it' SO SLOW!
I plugged the 2TB USB drive with the library into an Airport Extreme, connected to it over the wireless network, opened iTunes while holding 'alt', and chose the library on the network drive. Unfortunately, it's so slow that scrolling and searching are next to impossible. And forget about AirTunes!
The goal would be to have that whole library accessible from my laptop and then played through AirTunes speakers.
Like I said, this is probably just wishful thinking, but has anyone else set up a system like this?

Just thought I would say, I have retinapad 1.1.2 (the updated version for 4.3.1) and it works perfectly on 4.3.1. Even fixes the bugs in 1.1.1.
So I would double check if I were you. It is neither dead nor broken as far as I can see.
I have the same version.. it was 1.1.2 before 4.3.1 came out iirc. Either way, my apps all crash immediately when retinapad is enabled for them.. if i turn it off, they open fine.. ive tried reinstalling numerous times.

Im selling my Shuffle hoping to get at least $100 - $120 for it. Im looking at a 20Gb iPod <- Wayyy too much space or a nano. I like the nano because I already take my Shuffle everywhere with me. I like the screen of the nano well because its color and you can view pictures. But a 20Gb or 10Gb 3Gen would be a bit big. And I like the portability of the nano. Its small so I can keep it in my pocket with other school stuff ( ID, pens, ect) and from some pictures I have seen of it it fits in any pocket. I have only 3.6Gb of music so a 4Gb model would be fine. And about 50Mb of pictures. Any advice?

I'm considering that, but if I were not to have phone functionality, I think I'd be better off with twice the storage. Although the iPhone would have a mail client, I could always just use safari for mail.

This weekend ASU physicist Paul Davies celebrated the 50th anniversary of astronomer Frank Drake’s “start of the most ambitious scientific experiment in history”: the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI); (Wall Street Journal; 4/10/10). i started folding a few days after my younger (and only) sister died from something that is being studied by F@H. she made it 2 days past her 35th birthday, and left a 4 month old baby and widow (and me) behind. i've been folding ever since, and won't stop until they quit giving out work units. period.

Now a days you have to protect the skin of the iphone. Total Body Skin covers your face again, and wraps around the sides and corners. Even the Home button is covered. Screen covers the face skin. Back to back skin covers the chrome.

Ok my mom just got a cable modem today. I have dsl at my house so I'm not sure if i'm doing everything right. The problem is, the airport is not getting an ip address from the modem. I just un-pluged everything for 8min and still nothing(This is applecare said to do.) The modem works fine when hooked up to a computer direct. Anyone have any hints at all. This is really getting to me. Shes running 10.2.6 and all the newest versions of airport/basestation etc.

I need an iBook for my school work (my PC is too big to carry around :P ) so I am getting rid of my PC and DS (I don't play it anymore). I am selling the PC for $520 and the DS for $120. You can probally talk me down in the prices (not too much :P ). Here are the items.
