If you donate directly to the organizations involved (Red Cross etc) I can't imagine they'll be taking a cut...can they??Nope, which is why a lot of people are now telling you to make a trip to the charity in question, and donate directly, instead of donating to somebody collecting money for a charity.

Hello.
I am thinking of buying a used Nikon D90 soon for �400. However that's just body only. I have the memory card ready and I just need to purchase the lens, and the bags for it separately just to get me going for now.
Right, I suppose a few questions I want to ask you guys is
a) What lens shall I be looking at? Or shall I buy the D90 new with 18-105mm for �670 which maybe cheaper? =/
b) Will this be okay for long term investment ? The current camera I'm using now is Pentax S7 which I had for about 5 years now roughly and I doubt I'll buy a new SLR body in the future and just invest in the lens to be honest, Unless you guys can recommend me a camera?
I tend to do lanscape or macro photography mainly rather than anything else. I don't mind about loud shutter noise or video function. I think I've only taken 3 videos since getting that camera. My budget is was �500 but my parents says that if it costs extra for the camera I want and that I won't get bored of it after a while then they'll put some money towards it. I think I'm looking towards �700 max really.

I bought it for my family along with kinect sports, so far i love it very accurate in the scanning of your body and tracking movements, it's the only way ive got my wife to play video games with me the boxing was super fun and tiring, i can't wait till my son is old enough to understand how to use it.
Plus i like that when your done playing a game it shows highlights(pictures of you playing the game in funny positions).

An exascale, or extreme-scale, computer is expected to be a thousand times faster than a petascale system. "All of these things are dependent on funding," Dongarra said in an interview. Hi - I am an avid macrumors guy and usully hang on the ipad and iphone forums but I think I may need a MacbookAir. Here's my need
I give 75 size slide shows with a projector and use Keynote..the i pad does it, but won't let me use the iPhone as a remote - only the macbooks do that..also when multitasking really heav,y and throwing lots of slides up, the ipad become a bit jerky due to it's memory( yes I;m using the new Ipad2).
My company has said get the air if I need it
do I need it?
I can get stuff in and out using dropbox so I don;'t think I need the cd player?
and was just going to get work or is office the ticket - or both?

I could never get pwnage to produce a working ipsw for my iPad 3G... so I took the iBSS & kernelcache (rename to zip and extract) from ..customrestore.ipsw for tetheredboot. make sure your iPad is running the Apple 4.3 and jailbreak using redsnow.. point to 4.2.1 ipsw, it will not boot, when it hangs blackscreen with a white square use tetheredboot and u have cydia... :)
